Plumbing problems can be extremely frustrating, especially when it means you can’t use your toilet, sink, shower, or all of the above! Have plumbing questions?
How do you plunge a sink drain?
We have different plungers for different situations. When plunging a sink drain is to use force on the suction action and not the pushing action. This helps to free up the blockage and in most cases will draw the blockage out through the sink outlet.
Are all new toilets water saving toilet suites?
Yes they are. But some brands have smaller outlets than others which commonly lead to more blockages in the toilet pan.
What do you do when servicing a tap with washers?
Remove handles and flanges to access and remove the tap spindles. The spindles have 3 washers, a jumper valve, an o-ring and a fibre washer , which we replace and lubricate the o-ring and threads on the spindle. Putting it all back together and checking with the water back on, most taps we service we feel and operate like new.
